Logistics service provider Blue Water Shipping has officially entered the Korean market with the acquisition of Zodiac Solutions. The acquisition took place at the Korea-Denmark Offshore Wind Business Conference.
Zodiac Solutions, a Korean logistics company, is led by Raphael Park, who will move from Zodiac Solutions CEO to General Manager of Blue Water Shipping Korea. The acquisition is expected to close on May 1.
With an experienced and dedicated team of local logistics experts, Blue Water Shipping Korea aims to provide a range of global logistics services with an emphasis on the renewable energy sector.
Thomas Beck, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Blue Water’s Energy, Ports and Projects division, expressed his enthusiasm for this strategic move: “We are very excited to announce this important step in our expansion plans. The acquisition of Zodiac Solutions brings expertise and a valuable network in logistics for a wide range of industries including renewable energy, mining, oil, gas and industrial projects, general cargo marine and aviation, maritime logistics and defense logistics. We have been working with Zodiac Solutions as a local partner for many years,” he said.
Additionally, Blue Water plans to further expand its presence in Asia by opening an office in Japan later this year. This expansion aims to strengthen Blue Water’s presence in Asia and contribute to its global presence.
